As you know here at Rome Youth Hockey, our mission is to provide our youth with the best possible opportunity to HAVE FUN while playing the sport of Ice Hockey.  We take great pride in our role in encouraging skaters to develop their talents and build lifelong values of teamwork, dedication, and strength of mind and body. We would not be able to grow and foster our program without the generous support.  

Both the John F. Kennedy Arena and the Rome Youth Hockey Association recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary.  Finishing touches were recently added to the second phase of our newly renovated three and one half million dollar facility.  This beautiful facility has become a year round venue and is seeing outstanding attendance figures.   Our four time League Champion and Sectional Finalists Rome Free Academy Hockey Team continues to entertain capacity crowds and youth hockey games, public skating, senior league hockey, and figure skating remain popular.  During the off-season the John F. Kennedy Arena hosts Rome Home Show; the Central New York Men’s and Women’s Roller Derby League and Tournament, Wrestling, Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts Competitions, and a Summer Floor Hockey League. The Rome Youth Hockey Association continues our aggressive campaign to give more youth hockey players the opportunity to enjoy and take part in the fastest game on earth.
